GOLF ACADEMIC ALL STATE!!! The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin is pleased to announce that the following student-athletes from Kettle Moraine have been recognized as 2024 Academic All-State honorees: Spencer Stuke, Caden Jurci, Nick Kacsur, and Graham Hoffe. Students are submitted by member coaches of the GCAW and must meet the following criteria to be considered for this great award: The student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. The student-athlete must have participated in at least 75% of their team's varsity competitions during the 2024 season. The student-athlete must be in good standing regarding athletic and school codes of conduct at their participating schools The student-athlete must be either a sophomore, junior, or senior.

Field Athlete of The Year!!! In a unanimous vote, Keegan Lodes was awarded the Classic 8 Conference Field Athlete of the Year. At indoor conference, Keegan won the High Jump and the Long Jump, breaking her school record of 17’9.5”. She was the top conference scorer among all boys and girls. At outdoor conference, she won High Jump and took 3rd in Long Jump, breaking her school record a 3rd time with a final jump of 17’11”. She holds the Kettle Moraine indoor High Jump record and is 7th all time for outdoor High Jump. Keegan’s coaches have a thing or two to say about this honor! Coach Yarborough said “Your work ethic and dedication to your event coaches are unmatched! Enjoy it but get ready to get back to the grind.” Coach Sterner said “Congratulations to Junior KeeganLodes on her newest, very well earned, accolade, Classic 8 Conference Field Athlete of the Year! Your coaches and teammates are so proud of you! I can’t wait to see what you can accomplish! Back to work!”

Best of Luck to Our TWO 2024 NHD Contest Competitors! As you begin to enjoy your first days of summer two of your fellow Lasers will be representing our school, the KM community, and our state at the National History Day competition at the University of Maryland. Krin Blegen and Emma Manion will compete against students from all 50 states and international schools worldwide. They will present their documentary, "The Repeal of the Fairness Doctrine: An Irreversible Turning Point in American Media." Good luck to our KM representatives, Krin and Emma, safe travels, Go Lasers, and On Wisconsin!

KM GIRLS LACROSSE HEADED TO STATE FINALS!!! The girls will play forthe State Tournament University School of Milwaukee (USM) this Saturday, June 8th, at 1:00 pm at Sun Prairie Stadium. RYAN BRAUN VISITS KMHS!!!! Sophomore, Ava Shaikh, coordinated the event and both Ryan Braun and Christian Yelich donated signed jerseys for display at the high school. Omar Shaikh, Ava's father, also attended the event. Braun played 14 seasons for the Brewers, his entire MLB career. He was honored with an MVP award, Rookie of the Year, five Silver Slugger awards, played in six All-Star Games, and received seven MLB year-end awards, more than any player in franchise history. More importantly, he is an incredibly warm and generous person, taking time to pose for pictures with students and staff, signing autographs, and sharing his time! Thank you to Ava, Omar, Ryan, and Christian for your thoughtful gesture.

GRADUATION WILL BE AT VOCK FIELD TONIGHT!!! A little rain won't stop us! All indications tell us that any inclement will clear by 4:00pm. Graduation will begin at 7:30pm at Vock Field. Our facilities team will be drying everything off, but you are welcome to bring seat covers, towels, or blankets as needed. We look forward to seeing you all there as we celebrate the Class of 2024!

GETTING READY FOR GRADUATION!!! This week was the last week for our class of 2024 and it has been a busy one! Today, students enjoyed a quick breakfast, picked up their caps and gowns, participated in commencement rehearsal, grabbed their yearbooks, then many visited their elementary schools and caught up with former teachers! Tomorrow, June 1st, we will be holding our first graduation ceremony at Vock Field, followed by a fireworks display at 8:30. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate this wonderful class of seniors. You will be missed!

KMEF SCHOLARSHIP AWARD NIGHT!!! The Kettle Moraine Education Foundation held their annual scholarship awards last night. KMEF awarded 103 scholarships totaling $91,250, to 80 students. mission is to inspire students and educators by raising the support of our community and business partners to create educational opportunities that build academic and personal success. Please consider donating to this wonderful cause. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible.

KM WALK OF CHAMPIONS!!! Congratulations to all of our athletes who have qualified for State! Our mens golf team will be competing June 3-4 at the State Tournament at Blackwolf Run in Kohler. Boys and girls track athletes will be competing this weekend in the State Track and Field Championships at UW Lacrosse.
